Belkin AV360 Mini DisplayPort Converter
$150.00
Released June, 2010
The Pros:Setup is very straightforward, few steps involved. Output from gaming consoles streams to the iMac seamlessly, no lag. Minimal footprint, doesn't take up any space.
The Cons:Included documentation is very sparse, need to work things out for yourself. Unit gets very hot after operating for a short time. While it accepts 1080p, it can only output 720p.
The Belkin AV360 Mini DisplayPort Converter takes HDMI signals and coverts them into DisplayPort signals. This means that for those who have peripherals such as gaming consols or Blu-Ray players that output HDMI, the signal can be accepted by this unit and then output in 720p to a Mini DisplayPort cable in another device such as an iMac.
