The Blaze Motion Freedom 3D Controller is a Playstation 3 (PS3) controller designed to imitate the Nintendo Wii’s Wiimote. It includes full PS3 functionality with both a direction pad and full button control.

But unlike traditional PS3 controls, it includes ‘super sensitive movement sensors’ that detect the player’s every move. This allows players to make real-life tennis/golf motions, adding a level of realism so far unseen in any other gaming console than the Nintendo Wii. Information on pricing and release is yet unknown, but the 3D Controller is expected to appear for retail sometime either in very late 2009 or early 2010. Suffice it to say, Playstation 3 is gradually stepping up to the plate as a direct competitor to the notorious Wii system.
