Nintendo Wiimote
$40.00
Released November, 2006
The Pros:Innovative controller with both gyroscopic action and infrared pointer. Includes a speaker in the controller. Remote-control configuration intuitive for older first-time gamers.
The Cons:Not suitable for all game types. Doesn't feel robust enough when playing really active games. Speaker produces low quality sound.
The main control mechanism for the Wii. The Nintendo Wiimote communicates with the Wii's sensor bar to provide for accurate pointer capabilities. Gyroscopes give the Wiimote the ability to determine when it is being turned and rotated, which allows for the ability to control games in new ways such as performing throwing motions, or swinging motions.

#nintendo_wiimote Arrrgh... I hate the Speaker in the Wii Remote. It HURTS your ears. It doesn't help that the Wii has bad Dolby Prologic 2 sound to begin with!
