Wii Zapper

$20.00 Released November, 2007

Product Shot 1 The Pros:Link's Crossbow Training is a decent light gun shooter. Fun, addictive use of the Wiimote. Nice retrofit to the Wiimote and Nunchuck.

The Cons:The zapper trigger is in the front (left hand) instead of the back (right hand). Difficult to access D-pad, A button while using. Not suitable for all games, surprisingly, not all shooters.

The Wii Zapper is a plastic shell with a design reminiscent of a sub machine gun. The Wii Remote clips into the top of the shell, acting as the "barrel" of the gun. The Nunchuck clips into the shells rear handle, with the wire between the two controllers held securely in the body of the Zapper.

A trigger built into the shell depresses the B button when squeezed, giving the Zapper its "trigger".

Link's Crossbow Training

The peripheral comes packaged with a free copy of Link's Crossbow Training, a game designed to help you get aquainted with the Zapper through a series of light gun shooting games set in the Zelda universe. The game is meant to ease players into using the Wii Zapper, starting with stationary targets and graduating to moving targets and eventually full fledged enemies as your skills progress.

Does anyone have a general list of what games *would* be compatible with the Zapper? I know that Resident Evil 4 won't work due to the button config, for instance. I am really interested in getting both the Zapper and another of the lightguns made for the Wii but have hesitated due to the lack of such info on the net. :\

Erik
Erik: #wii_zapper I've been seriously addicted to Link's Crossbow. Trying to build up huge scores and multipliers in competition with friends is great fun. I'd like to see a good full-fledged shooter make use of the Wii Zapper.

My brother got it for Christmas (from me of course) and it's a hit. Dec 29, 07
